WELCOME TO THE

“1st Amphipolis Forum”… we send a message

In a place of history and with the aura of world heritage monuments, the fermentation and maturation of ideas and good practices that can change an entire region begins. A stone’s throw away from the archaeological park of Ancient Amphipolis, we send the first message of a new era, full of optimism and potential. In the new conditions of the global market and in addressing great economic growth challenges, the Municipality of Amphipolis and Kourtidis Group in cooperation with the Administrations of the Regions of Central Macedonia and Eastern Macedonia – Thrace, as well as the Chambers of Commerce of Serres, Drama and Kavala presented the “1st Amphipolis Forum”. Keynote speakers, lecturers, and moderators approached, analyzed, and discussed the main topics around the development of the wider region and the coastal zone from the Strymonian Gulf to Thassos island and the prefectures of Serres, Kavala, and Drama. The Amphipolis Forum took place on Friday the 12th of July 2024 in the outdoors of Amphipolis Conference Centre. During the Conference, Ministers and Deputy Ministers, entrepreneurs, business leaders, strategic development consultants and marketers shared their perspectives, focusing on the unique, worldwide archaeological heritage of the historic area and exploring further prospects for sustainable development in three thematic areas: Infrastructure, Tourism and Investment.

The institution that unites 2 regions and 4 regional entities

Our “common ground” unites us for growth. It becomes a platform for the presentation of realistic plans and visions and the opportunity for meaningful cooperation. The aim of the 1st Amphipolis Forum was to unite the two regions (Central and Eastern Macedonia – Thrace) and the four regional units (Thessaloniki, Serres, Kavala, Drama) which interact with mutual benefits, the maximization of which, as the conference has shown, lies within the possibilities and perspectives of the wider region.
